What you can expect from us
When you entrust your child to our care, you above all want to know that your child is safe, is seen, and receives the attention and support that suits him or her.
At Samen Groeien, we have an eye for who your child is and what they need. We offer a calm and familiar environment in which your child is given the space to explore, learn and grow at their own pace.
We keep you informed about how things are going and regularly discuss which steps are being taken and what we are working on next in the support.
We know that the daily care of a child with additional support needs can ask a great deal of you. It can be reassuring to know that your child is in a safe place throughout the day, is supported with attention, and is given the time to develop.

How registration works
From first contact to the start of the support, in four clear steps.
Register
You complete the registration form. We then contact you to go through the initial information.
Introductory meeting
We schedule a relaxed introductory meeting and discuss what your child needs, your questions and the practical possibilities.
Agreeing the start
Together we agree how the start can best take place. Some children can begin fully straight away; when a child needs more time, we build up gently.
Getting started
Once the arrangements are in place, the support begins and we make the first development goals concrete.
PGB & funding
The support provided by Samen Groeien can be funded through a personal budget (PGB, "persoonsgebonden budget"), when your child qualifies for it. With a PGB, you as a parent choose a care provider yourself that fits your child's support needs. The municipality assesses which support is needed and decides on the application and the granting of the PGB.
Don't have a PGB yet? Then we are happy to think along with you about the possible next steps. We help you on your way with the information about our support that is needed for the PGB plan, and together with you we set clear and achievable support goals.
You choose yourself
With a PGB, you choose the care provider that best suits your child yourself. You decide who provides the support and what it looks like.
The municipality decides
The municipality assesses which support your child needs and decides on the application and the granting of the PGB.
Care agreement
After it is granted, you as the budget holder enter into a care agreement and manage the budget. We provide the information you need for this.

Times
- Pick-up between 08:00 and 09:00
- Day programme from 09:00 to 15:00
- Drop-off at home between 15:00 and 16:00
What should your child bring?
- A set of spare clothes
- Enough nappies and personal care products, if needed
- A cuddly toy or other familiar object is always welcome
- Their own lunch, fruit and drinks for the day

Frequently asked questions from parents
Samen Groeien is here for young children with a developmental delay or additional support needs who benefit from small-scale, personal support. Not sure whether our support matches what your child needs? Please feel free to contact us.
No. You can also register your child when there is not yet a diagnosis or a formal decision (beschikking). During the introductory meeting we discuss the situation and look at which next steps are possible.
Your child can attend Samen Groeien up to five days a week, from Monday to Friday. The day programme runs from 09:00 to 15:00. How many days are used depends on what your child needs and on the arrangements or formal decision.
We ask parents to provide lunch, fruit and drinks for their child. This way we can properly take into account food preferences, allergies, intolerances, dietary wishes and what your child is used to. Of course, we always keep a basic supply on hand in case something has been forgotten or extra is needed.
Via WhatsApp you receive daily photos and a short update about your child. This way you get a picture every day of how the day went and what your child has done.
Difficult days are part of it too. We look at what your child needs at that moment and, where necessary, adjust the pace, the activity or the amount of sensory input. If something significant is going on, we will contact you.
We provide door-to-door transport within Amstelveen, Amsterdam, Uithoorn and surrounding area. Children are picked up and brought home by a regular driver and transported in a suitable child seat or on an appropriate booster seat.
